Blanco Driveway & Pavers: The Miami Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Blanco-compatible driveway pavers throughout Miami, and a full driveway replacement or new paver pad typically runs $8,260 to $21,240 installed, depending on square footage and what’s under the existing surface. Most failures show up the same way: a paver sinks unevenly at the driveway edge, a section of the base washes out after a heavy storm, or the Blanco drain channel separates from the paver line and water starts pooling against the garage slab. We carry the common Blanco formats on the truck and can usually match an existing layout the same day we come out. Call (850) 801-8046 for a free estimate.
One thing to know up front: Sawyer Remodel Miami is an independent contractor, not a Blanco dealer or factory rep. That works in your favor because we fix the whole system, not just one component. Blanco makes a solid paver, but in Miami the failure is rarely the stone itself. It’s the bed, the edge restraint, or the drainage detail. We treat those as part of the job.
Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco’s driveway and paver program covers a few distinct lines, and the part you need depends on which one is in your ground. The most common in Miami are the BlancoClassic double-T paver, the BlancoPenta interlocking paver, and the larger BlancoDrive XL slab format used on newer builds. Each has a different joint width and thickness spec, and they don’t interchange cleanly. The Classic and Penta run a nominal 60mm thickness for driveway traffic; the XL slab goes 80mm. If you’re replacing one section, measure the paver height directly, because builders in South Florida sometimes spec’d a thinner pedestrian paver on a driveway to save money, and that’s a whole different conversation.
To identify your Blanco paver, flip one over. The Blanco name is cast into the underside, along with a date stamp and mold number. If the stamp is worn off, measure the thickness and the spacing between lugs on the side. For OEM replacement, you’re buying the exact mold match, color batch permitting. A quality aftermarket paver from a supplier like Techo-Bloc or Belgard can match dimensions, but the color will drift within two years under Miami sun. For a small patch, OEM is worth the wait. For a full driveway, we’ll usually steer you toward a better-performing alternative and tell you why in plain numbers.
We also work with KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone parts on the interior side of the house, so if the driveway job turns into a garage floor or a kitchen refresh at the back of the house, we’re not bouncing you to another crew.

Signs Your Blanco Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Edge pavers are drifting outward. The plastic or aluminum edge restraint has broken or pulled loose, and every car tire that clips the corner shoves the paver line a little further. Once the edge goes, the whole field starts walking. You’ll see a widening gap against the lawn or curb.
- A low spot forms where the car sits. This is usually base compaction, not the paver. Miami’s sandy subgrade settles under drive traffic, especially where the driveway ties into the street apron. The pavers go with it eventually, but the stone isn’t the root cause.
- Water ponds against the garage door after rain. In Miami, a half-inch drop over twenty feet is enough to hold water. That often traces back to a Blanco channel drain that’s clogged with sand or a paver line that was laid flat. Blanco channels work, but they’re only as good as the fall that feeds them.
- Ant mounds push up between joints. Fire ants love paver joints because the polymeric sand is loose enough to tunnel through. Once the joint sand is gone, the pavers lose lateral grip and start rubbing and chipping at the edges. This is a Miami problem more than a Blanco problem, but it kills driveways fast.
- Paver surface is flaking or pitting. That’s efflorescence or, in the cheap pedestrian-run paver, actual surface spall. Blanco’s driveway lines hold up better than thin pavers, but near salt air in places like Coconut Grove or Key Biscayne, surface wear shows faster. A pitting paver usually isn’t worth spot-fixing, a full section replacement makes more sense.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a Blanco driveway or paver job in Miami, the realistic installed range is $8,260 to $21,240. That spreads out to roughly $14 to $22 per square foot, installed, depending on base depth, paver thickness, access, and whether we’re pulling and hauling the old surface. A driveway replacement lands at $5,900 to $16,520 when the scope is pull-and-relay on a smaller drive, and a full new paver patio runs $4,130 to $12,980.
| Scope | Installed Price Range |
|---|---|
| Paver driveway (new or full rebuild) | $8,260 – $21,240 |
| Driveway replacement (pull, prep, relay) | $5,900 – $16,520 |
| Paver patio | $4,130 – $12,980 |
| Driveway sealing | $295 – $825 |
Every estimate includes removal, base prep, sand, pavers, edge restraint, compaction, joint sand, and our workmanship warranty in writing. The written price you approve is the number on the invoice. No change orders for things we should have caught on the walkthrough.
DIY or Call Us?
For a paver driveway, the honest split is this: you can safely inspect your own edge restraint, mark low spots with a level, and check whether a channel drain is clogged with sand. That information helps you know what you’re dealing with before anyone gives you a number. What you shouldn’t do is try to lift and reset a whole paver section yourself. Driveway pavers are heavy, a 60mm paver is over 30 pounds, and the base under it is often why it failed. If you don’t compact the replacement base properly, you’ll have the same dip in six months, just with a sore back to go with it. If the failure is in the drainage or the base, call us. Luca Romano would tell you the same: a bad paver base doesn’t care how strong your weekend was. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll take it from there.
FAQs

A properly installed Blanco driveway paver should last 25 to 30 years in Miami’s climate, but the base underneath it typically needs work at around 15 to 20 years. Sun and heat don’t kill concrete pavers the way salt air and poor drainage do. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll tell you honestly whether your pavers are the problem or just along for the ride with a failing base.
Yes, isolated low spots can often be lifted, the base topped and compacted, and the same pavers relayed, if the pavers themselves aren’t cracked. That’s usually a few hundred dollars rather than a full replacement. Call (850) 801-8046 for an exact quote, estimates are free.
A full driveway teardown and paver install typically runs three to five working days, not counting any HOA approval window. Cure time for the paver joint sand is overnight, so plan one extra morning before you park on it. We’ll give you the timeline in writing before we start.
We stock the common Blanco Classic and Penta formats in the most used Miami colors, plus the edge restraints and channel drains that go with them. For odd colors or the thicker XL slab, we order OEM directly and it’s usually on site within a week. Call (850) 801-8046 with a photo of your paver and we can tell you over the phone whether it’s a stock item.
