ECO Window Systems Fence Installation: The Miami Owner’s Guide

ECO Window Systems fence installation in Miami typically runs $4,130 to $10,620 including materials, labor, and haul-away of the old fence. We stock ECO-compatible fence panels, posts, and hardware on our trucks, so most installations start within a few days of your estimate, not weeks. Most Miami homeowners call us after a storm or a hit from a car or delivery truck has taken out a section, and what starts as one leaning post usually means the whole run needs to be checked for rot at the post bases, salt corrosion on the hardware, and alignment problems that spread down the line.

One thing worth knowing up front: Sawyer Remodel Miami is an independent service provider, not affiliated with ECO Window Systems. That’s actually good news for you, because we install and service their fence lines without being tied to one manufacturer’s pricing or lead times. We also work with KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone products on the remodel side, so we’re used to matching third-party specs precisely.

Which ECO Window Systems Models This Applies To

ECO Window Systems manufactured several fence and enclosure lines, and the compatibility question is the first thing we sort out on the phone. The main families we see in Miami:

  • ECO 200 Series: The entry residential line, typically 4-foot and 6-foot fence heights, with 1-3/4-inch round posts. The post caps on this series are a known weak point in salt air, so we keep caps in stock and check them on every service call.
  • ECO 300 Series: Mid-grade residential and light commercial, 6-foot and 8-foot heights, with 2-inch square posts. Concrete-set posts were standard on this line. The gate hinges on the 300 series use a nylon bushing that wears out faster in Miami’s humidity, and a squeaky, sagging gate is usually the bushing, not the post.
  • ECO 400/500 Series: Heavy commercial and pool enclosures, 8-foot and taller, with reinforced posts and picket spacing set to code for pool barriers. These are the ones you see around condo complexes and HOA properties in Brickell and Coral Gables.

If you don’t know your series, check the inside of a post cap or the bottom rail of a panel for a stamped code that starts with “ECO” plus a four or five digit number. That number tells us the exact panel dimensions and hardware spec. If the stamp is gone, we measure the post diameter, panel height, and picket spacing on site and match from there.

On the OEM-versus-aftermarket question: ECO panels and posts are still available through several distributors, and we order OEM when a section matches what’s already there and you want an invisible repair. But for full fence replacements, we often recommend a quality aftermarket equivalent that’s powder-coated to the same spec and carries a longer finish warranty. The metal itself is standard 6000-series aluminum on most ECO lines, which is why aftermarket options match so well. We’ll price both and let you decide.

Signs Your ECO Window Systems Fence Installation Is Failing

  • Posts leaning or tilting, especially after heavy rain. Miami’s water table and sandy soil erode around shallow-set posts. ECO’s concrete-set posts hold better than drive-in posts, but a post set less than 24 inches deep will start leaning within a few seasons. Fix is post extraction and reset with deeper concrete, not just pushing it back and tamping soil.
  • White or gray powder on the hardware and post bases. That’s galvanic corrosion from the stainless or zinc hardware reacting with uncoated aluminum in a salt-air environment. The panels can look fine while the fasteners are quietly turning to powder. We replace with marine-grade hardware on every Miami job.
  • Gate sagging or dragging on the ground. The hinge bushings on ECO 300-series gates are nylon and degrade faster in humidity and heat. If you’re lifting the gate to close it, the bushing is shot and the post is carrying a load it wasn’t designed for. Wait too long and you’ll oval out the post itself.
  • Pickets rattling or falling out of the bottom rail. This is usually panel fatigue from storm wind loading. Hurricane-force gusts flex the panels and work the pickets loose from their channels. It starts as a rattle, then pickets start dropping. By the time you see bare sections, the rail is compromised.
  • Green or black streaking on the panels. That’s organic growth, almost always in shaded sections or near sprinklers. It’s not structural, but it’s a sign the finish has gone porous. If you’re seeing streaking on a fence under ten years old, the powder coat is failing early, and you should clock that for the warranty conversation.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A built-in window seat in a bay window

For a standard residential ECO Window Systems fence replacement in Miami, you’re looking at $4,130 to $10,620 installed. Here’s how that breaks down:

  • Panel and post materials: $1,650 to $5,300 depending on series, height, and linear footage
  • Post removal and concrete demolition: $590 to $1,180 when old concrete-set posts need to come out
  • New post setting (concrete, code-depth): $705 to $1,770
  • Panel and gate installation, hardware, alignment: $825 to $1,770
  • Haul-away of old fence and debris: $355 to $590

The two things that swing the price most are the fence height (6-foot runs about 30% more than 4-foot) and what the old posts were set in. If the original installer used drive-in posts, extraction is quick and cheap. If every post has a concrete bell, that’s half a day of jackhammering and disposal. Either way, the number we write down is the number you pay. Written price before any work starts, no change orders because we didn’t guess the demo right. Our work carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something’s not right within a year, we come back and fix it. In writing, every job.

DIY or Call Us?

Here’s the honest split. You can check the obvious: wiggle each post, look for hardware rust, check gate swing, and note any pickets that have worked loose. That inspection tells you whether you’re looking at one bad post or a full-line problem, and it’s useful information for us either way.

Where DIY goes wrong on ECO fence work is digging out a concrete-set post. That’s a two-person job with a breaker and it goes sideways fast in Miami soil where water makes the hole wall collapse as you dig. You’re also dealing with fence sections under tension, and a panel that lets go mid-removal has enough weight to break a foot or a hand. We pull the permit when one’s required, set posts to wind-load code, and warranty the whole line for a year. If one post is bad, we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a repair or the whole run should go. Call (850) 801-8046 and Luca Romano can walk the site with you and tell you straight what it needs.
