Jerith Driveway & Pavers: The Miami Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Jerith-compatible driveway and paver components across Miami, with most replacement work priced between $8,260 and $21,240 depending on scope. If your Jerith aluminum fence line is pulling away from its pavers, your driveway pavers are sinking or shifting, or the concrete base under a gate post has started to crumble, you’re likely looking at a paver base failure, not a fence failure. We see this most often in Miami neighborhoods like Kendall, Coral Gables, and Doral, where our high water table and heavy summer rains quietly wash out sand bases over four or five seasons.
Most owners discover the problem the same way: the gate drags against the paver surface, or a section of pavers near the fence line dips and collects standing water after a storm. The Jerith aluminum posts are usually fine. The ground under them is what gave up.
Which Jerith Models This Applies To

Jerith manufactures residential and commercial aluminum fencing systems, and the driveway and paver work we do applies to their Estate, Manor, and Sentry product lines as well as their swing and slide gate assemblies. The compatibility issue most Miami owners run into is the gate post base plate and how it anchors into the paver or concrete substrate. Jerith gate posts use a specific base plate footprint, usually 4″ x 4″ or 5″ x 5″ depending on the gate leaf weight, and the anchor bolts need a solid concrete footer below the paver layer to hold torque. If the footer was poured too shallow, or if pavers were laid directly over sand with no concrete collar, the post will wallow out and the gate will sag within two to three years.
Identifying your Jerith part is straightforward. Look for the manufacturer’s tag on the inside face of the gate frame near the hinge side, or on the bottom rail of a fence panel. If the tag is gone, measure the post dimensions and the distance between hinge mounting holes. That measurement, plus a photo of the gate, is usually enough for us to match the exact Jerith-grade hardware. We install OEM Jerith parts when the customer wants factory match, and we offer quality aftermarket equivalents for posts, hinges, and paver base components where the aftermarket part actually outperforms the OEM in Miami’s salt air and sand conditions. We also stock compatible hardware for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone cabinetry and counter materials when Jerith fence work runs alongside a driveway-adjacent outdoor kitchen or bar.

Signs Your Jerith Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Gate drags or scrapes the pavers. This means the post has shifted out of plumb, usually because the base under the pavers eroded. The fix is resetting the post in a new footer and re-laying the affected pavers, not just adjusting the hinges.
- Pavers dip or sink near the fence line. In Miami, this is almost always a sand base washout from heavy rain. The pavers hold their shape but the layer under them migrates, leaving a low spot that catches water and accelerates the problem.
- Standing water pools along the post bases. Water is the enemy of any driveway paver system, and pooled water at a Jerith post base means the drainage pitch has flattened. That standing water works into the base and softens it over time.
- Post wobbles when you push the gate. A Jerith aluminum post that moves at the base has lost its anchor. Continuing to use the gate will widen the damage and eventually crack the pavers around it.
- Hairline cracks spread across pavers near the gate. A shifting post doesn’t just loosen. It transfers pressure into the surrounding pavers, and that pressure shows up as radial cracks around the base plate within a season or two.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For Jerith-compatible driveway and paver replacement work in Miami, you’re looking at $8,260 to $21,240 installed, with the range driven by square footage, paver style, base condition, and whether we’re replacing the full driveway or just the apron and gate post areas. A simple isolated repair around one post with pavers relaid runs toward the lower end. A full driveway paver replacement with new base, compaction, and edge restraint runs toward the upper end.
Every quote includes the written price before work starts, the pavers or base material, labor, haul-off of the old material, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. That means if the pavers shift or the post loosens within a year, we come back and make it right. No change orders, no surprise line items. You’ll know the number before we touch the driveway.
DIY or Call Us?
There are a few things you can safely check before calling: watch where water pools after the next storm, push the gate gently to feel for play at the base, and look for sand washing out at the paver edges after heavy rain. Those observations help us diagnose faster. What you shouldn’t do is try to pull a leaning Jerith post back into plumb with a winch or shims, or start pulling up pavers around the post. Gate posts under tension can kick back, and pulling pavers without an intact base plan creates a bigger area to rebuild.
If the post is wobbling or the gate drags hard enough to leave metal marks on the pavers, stop using the gate and call us at (850) 801-8046. We’ll get the post tensioned correctly, the base re-compacted, and the pavers relaid so the water sheds away instead of pooling.
FAQs

Concrete pavers on a properly compacted base typically last 20 to 25 years in Miami, but the base under them usually needs attention around the five-to-seven-year mark because our rainy season flushes sand through the joints and softens the support. The pavers themselves rarely fail; the base is what ages. Call (850) 801-8046 if you’re seeing dips or washout, and we’ll tell you exactly what the base needs before you spend on new pavers.
In most Miami cases, yes. We regularly lift, clean, and relay the same pavers after rebuilding the base and resetting the Jerith posts. The exception is when pavers have cracked from post movement or salt exposure has spalled the surface beyond a clean edge. We’ll know within the first hour of pulling a section, and we’ll show you what we’re seeing before you approve any change.
Most isolated post resets with paver relay work take one to two days, including concrete footer cure time. A full driveway replacement with base work runs three to five days depending on square footage and access. We’ll give you a written timeline before we start, with live arrival time and photo updates as the job moves.
We keep common Jerith post sizes, hinge kits, base plates, and gate hardware on the truck, along with paver edge restraint and base material, so most repairs don’t need a second trip. If your model needs a factory-specific hinge that’s out of stock locally, we’ll give you an exact ETA and a loaner fix if the gate is unsafe in the meantime. Call (850) 801-8046 for a free estimate on the matching parts and labor.
