Tremron Roofing: The Miami Owner’s Guide
If your Tremron roof is leaking, lifting, or showing rust streaks down the barrel tiles, we stock Tremron-compatible roofing materials right here in Miami and can usually complete the repair within the same week of your estimate. Installed pricing for most Tremron roof repairs in Miami runs $470 to $2,125, while full replacements typically land between $9,440 and $23,600 depending on square footage and underlayment condition. Most Miami homeowners discover a problem the morning after a heavy storm, when a ceiling stain appears that wasn’t there the day before, or when a neighbor points out missing tiles from the street.
We’re Sawyer Remodel Miami, an independent general contractor that stocks and installs Tremron-brand roofing. We are not affiliated with Tremron directly, but we work with their product lines daily and know exactly which tile profiles match which Miami homes.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron manufactures concrete roof tile in several profiles that dominate Miami residential roofing. The two you’ll see most often are the barrel “S” tile (sometimes called Spanish or mission profile) and the flat shake tile. Within those profiles, Tremron runs multiple color lines: terracotta reds, charcoal blends, and the lighter sand tones that Miami HOAs love for heat reflectivity.
The trick with Tremron is that tile dimensions are not universal across their catalog. A barrel tile from the older Flagstone series is not interchangeable with the current Villa profile, even though both are labeled “Tremron barrel.” The difference is in the water channel depth and the interlocking lip. If you have a cracked tile and we can’t read the firing stamp on the back, we measure the tile width and water course depth to identify the exact series. This matters because a mis-sized replacement tile will sit proud of the roofline, catch wind, and eventually work loose.
On the OEM versus aftermarket question: Tremron’s OEM tiles are the safest match for color-faded roofs because concrete tile color is integral to the mix, not a surface glaze that can be paint-matched. An aftermarket equivalent from a Miami tile distributor will be structurally sound but may read visibly different in color after five years of Florida sun. For a repair under twenty tiles, we recommend OEM. For a full re-roof where everything gets replaced anyway, aftermarket equivalents can trim the material cost without changing the warranty we write on the work.

Signs Your Tremron Roofing Is Failing
- Ceiling stains in a corner of the house after rain. This usually means a broken tile or failed underlayment above that point. Concrete tile itself doesn’t rot, but the asphalt-saturated felt under it does, and Miami’s wet season punishes it hard.
- Tile pieces in the yard or in your gutters. Concrete tiles crack from impact (falling palm fronds, foot traffic from previous repairs) and the broken corners work loose over time. Once one tile shifts, the interlocking course above it loses support.
- Rust-colored stains running down from the roof edge. Lift the edge of a stained barrel tile and you’ll often find a corroded galvanized nail or batten clip underneath. Salt air near Miami’s coastline accelerates steel corrosion two to three times faster than inland.
- Visible sag between rafters when you look down the roof line from the street. That’s not a tile problem. It means the decking or truss has moisture damage below the tile, and the tile is just along for the ride. This is the most expensive form of “Tremron roof failure” because the tile was never the real issue.
- Sandy grit coating your patio or driveway after storms. Concrete tile naturally sheds surface aggregate as it ages. Light grit film is normal. Quarter-inch-deep piles of sand mean the tile matrix is spalling, and spalling tiles absorb water, grow algae, and crack faster every season after.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For Miami homes, a Tremron tile repair runs $470 to $2,125 installed. That covers the tile itself, matching color, new underlayment patch where needed, clips and fasteners, and haul-away of broken material. A full Tremron roof replacement runs $9,440 to $23,600, with the spread driven by whether your decking is still sound, whether we’re removing one layer of tile or two, and how steep the roof is.
Every quote we write includes parts and labor as separate line items. You’ll see exactly what the tiles cost and exactly what the crew costs. No “miscellaneous materials” junk fee. We back the work with our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the repair fails within a year, we return and fix it in writing, no argument. Luca Romano has walked enough Miami roofs to know which repairs hold and which ones need a bigger fix, and he prices them so you know which one you’re buying before the crew starts.
DIY or Call Us?
Working on a roof in Miami is not a Saturday project. Concrete barrel tile is heavy, the roof pitch on most South Florida homes is walkable only with proper fall protection, and the underlayment detail at flashings is where most DIY repairs go wrong and leak worse than before. The honest list of things you can safely do: clear palm debris from valleys, inspect from the ground with binoculars, and photograph any broken tiles for us to review. That’s it.
What we’d rather you not do is climb up with a bucket of roof cement and start filling cracks. We’ve fixed too many of those patches. Roof cement traps water behind the tile, rots the felt, and turns a $500 tile replacement into a $3,000 sheathing repair. If you see damage, call us at (850) 801-8046. We’ll send photos of the affected area before we touch anything, with a written price first.
FAQs

A properly installed Tremron concrete tile roof in Miami lasts 40 to 50 years on the tile itself, but the underlayment beneath typically needs replacement every 20 to 25 years due to Miami’s heat, humidity, and hurricane-driven rain. Budget for an underlayment replacement before the tile starts failing visually. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll assess what layer is actually failing on your roof.
Cracked concrete tile cannot be reliably glued back together and should be replaced; surface hairline cracks under one inch can sometimes be sealed, but any crack through the full tile body will let water reach the underlayment. We stock common Tremron profiles and colors in Miami so a single tile replacement doesn’t require a distributor order.
Most single-tile or small-area Tremron repairs in Miami take our crew half a day from setup to cleanup, with underlayment replacement on a full roof taking three to five working days. Weather is the main variable; we won’t open your roof if rain is forecast within 24 hours.
We stock common Tremron barrel and shake profiles in the most popular Miami colors and can source any current-production Tremron tile within three to five business days through local distribution. You won’t need to handle any ordering or delivery.
If your Tremron roof is showing any of the signs above, call Sawyer Remodel Miami at (850) 801-8046 for a free estimate. We’ll give you a written price before any work starts, with photo updates throughout the job. That’s the only way we’ve ever run it since 2005.
