Quikrete Windows & Doors: The Miami Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Quikrete-compatible windows and doors across Miami, with most replacements running $5,310 to $17,700 installed depending on size, frame material, and whether you need impact-rated glass. If your Quikrete unit is sticking, leaking at the sill, or showing condensation between the panes, the frame or seal has failed, and that’s a repair we handle every week. The most common way Miami homeowners find us is after a hard rain when water beads up along the window track or the door binds shut right as the humidity peaks. That’s not a coincidence. Salt air and 70% average humidity punish window and door frames in this city faster than almost any other climate in the country.
Sawyer Remodel Miami is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with Quikrete, but we work on their products daily and keep compatible parts on the truck.
Which Quikrete Models This Applies To

Quikrete’s window and door line spans a few distinct series, and the compatibility gotcha we see most often is homeowners assuming one Quikrete part fits all Quikrete units. It doesn’t. Quikrete manufactures both standard residential frames and a heavier commercial-grade line, and the sill profiles and hinge spacing differ measurably between them. Commercial frames typically run a wider track depth by about 3/8 inch, so a residential sash won’t seat correctly in a commercial frame, and vice versa. Before we quote a part, we check the manufacturer label on the inside edge of the frame rail. If that label is faded or painted over (common in Miami’s sun), we measure the track width and hinge offset directly.
For most Quikrete residential windows in Miami, we stock OEM sashes, balances, and locking hardware. For doors, we keep threshold replacements, sweeps, and hinge sets on hand. Aftermarket equivalents exist for some Quikrete hardware, and we’ll use quality aftermarket parts when the OEM item is backordered or overpriced for what it is. But we always tell you which one you’re getting and why, in writing, before any work starts. If the difference matters to the warranty or fit, you’ll know before we touch the frame.

Signs Your Quikrete Windows & Doors Is Failing
- Water pooling at the interior sill after rain. The weep holes along the bottom track are clogged with salt residue or debris, or the weatherstripping has shrunk. In Miami, we see this constantly on east-facing units that eat ocean wind all day.
- The sash suddenly slams shut when you try to open it partway. A broken balance spring or worn pivot shoe. This is a tensioned component, and we don’t recommend trying to force the window closed or open once it starts dropping.
- Condensation or fog between the glass panes. The insulated glass unit seal has failed. Once that seal goes, the argon or krypton gas leaks out and the window loses most of its thermal performance. You can clean the glass all day and it won’t clear up.
- The door scrapes the frame or locks won’t line up. Aluminum and vinyl frames expand and contract with Miami’s temperature swings, but a door that won’t latch is usually a hinge that’s sagged or a threshold that’s shifted. Forcing it shut bends the locking hardware over time.
- You feel air moving around the closed window or door on a windy day. The weatherstripping is gone or compressed flat. Your AC is literally leaking out of the gap, and your power bill shows it.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In Miami, Quikrete window replacement runs $5,310 to $17,700 installed, and that’s the honest spread for a standard residential job. Door replacement falls in the same range for most homes, though a full exterior door with sidelights at the upper end isn’t unusual. Here’s what drives the number:
| Scope | Typical Installed Range |
|---|---|
| Single Quikrete window (standard size, non-impact) | $5,310 – $8,850 |
| Quikrete impact-rated window (Miami-Dade code) | $8,850 – $17,700 |
| Quikrete exterior door (single, pre-hung) | $5,310 – $11,800 |
| Exterior door with sidelights | $11,800 – $17,700 |
Every quote includes parts, labor, haul-away of the old unit, and written warranty on the install. The price you approve before work begins is the price you pay at the end. Impact-rated glass costs more because Miami-Dade County requires it on most exterior openings, and that’s not a corner anyone should cut. Permits are included when required. We handle that end you shouldn’t have to.
DIY or Call Us?
There are a few things you can honestly check yourself. Clean the tracks. Check the weep holes for debris. Look at the weatherstripping and see if it’s crushed flat. That tells you what’s wrong without touching anything dangerous. What you should not do is try to replace a broken balance spring or a tensioned hinge yourself. Those components are under load, and when they let go, they move fast enough to break fingers. Same goes for lifting a heavy sash out of a frame without the right setup. A window or door that weighs eighty pounds doesn’t need much of a nudge to do real damage to you or the frame.
If it’s a simple sweep or track cleaning, go ahead. If it’s anything structural, call us at (850) 801-8046 and we’ll come look at it. The estimate is free, and you’ll get a written price before anything gets pulled apart.
FAQs

Quikrete windows in Miami typically last 15 to 20 years before seals fail, but hardware like balances and hinges can go bad in 8 to 12 years because of salt air and humidity exposure. We’ve seen coastal units in Coral Gables fail faster and inland units in Kendall hold up longer.
Yes, if the frame is intact. We replace sashes, seals, balances, hardware, and weatherstripping regularly. Replacement makes sense when the frame itself is warped, rotted, or leaking water into the wall. Call (850) 801-8046 for an honest assessment and we’ll tell you which one you’re actually looking at.
A standard single window or door swap takes one day on site. Full multi-opening replacement in a larger Miami home can take two to three days. You’ll get a written schedule before we start.
We keep common Quikrete hardware on the truck, including sashes for standard residential sizes, balances, hinges, threshold kits, and weatherstripping. Unusual sizes or commercial-series parts may take a few days to bring in. We’ll know which bucket you’re in before we quote.
Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch. If your Quikrete window or door is failing, call us at (850) 801-8046 and we’ll get it squared away for a written price before any work starts. We also work with parts for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone, so if you’re in the middle of a bigger remodel, we can handle that too. Luca Romano has been running job sites for decades, and this is the work we do.
