Abodu Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
A full Abodu kitchen remodel in Miami typically runs $16,520 – $53,100 installed, depending on cabinet count, countertop material, and whether we’re moving plumbing or electrical. We keep Abodu-compatible cabinetry hardware, hinges, drawer slides, and panel stock on our trucks, so a failing hinge or warped door usually gets handled the same week we look at it. Most Miami owners call us after noticing doors that won’t close square, drawer slides that grind, or cabinet boxes pulling away from the wall after a few humid summers.
Abodu kitchens are built around flat-pack, modular cabinet systems with specific hinge cup sizes and slide lengths. That’s good news for replacement, because the parts are standardized. The bad news is that big-box replacements rarely line up without shimming and drilling.
Which Abodu Models This Applies To

Abodu’s kitchen cabinetry across their ADU and prefab home lines uses a 35mm cup hinge system, which is the European standard. That means Blum, Salice, and Hettich hinges all fit, as long as the mounting plate matches the original offset. Abodu cabinet boxes are typically ¾-inch melamine or plywood-core panels, and the drawer slides run between 350mm and 500mm depending on cabinet depth. If your slide is stamped with a number, it’s the length in millimeters. If it isn’t stamped, pull the drawer out and measure the slide rail from end to end with the drawer fully extended.
OEM Abodu replacement parts are hard to get direct in Miami without a distributor account, and lead times run two to four weeks. Quality aftermarket equivalents from Blum or Salice fit the same 35mm cup pattern and often outlast the originals. We install aftermarket by default and reserve OEM only when a client insists. Sawyer Remodel Miami is an independent contractor, not affiliated with Abodu, so we’re not tied to their parts pipeline.

Signs Your Abodu Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Cabinet doors drift open or won’t stay closed. Hinge springs wear out faster in Miami’s humidity, especially on doors near the stove or dishwasher. The spring loses tension and the door hangs lazy.
- Drawers stick, squeal, or pull out crooked. The ball bearings in the slides are packed with grease that attracts grime. Once the grease breaks down, the slide grinds metal on metal until it bends.
- Melamine edges peel or bubble. Steam from cooking and the constant moisture in Miami air works its way into the edge banding. Once the substrate swells, the panel never sits flat again.
- Adjustment screws strip out of the mounting plates. Every hinge has two adjustment screws for height and depth. They’re small, and after four or five adjustments they lose their bite. The whole door sags within a few months.
- Upper cabinets pull away from the wall. We see this in older Abodu installs where the original fasteners were too short or hit drywall anchors instead of studs. The cabinet looks fine until you open a loaded door and the whole box flexes.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Here’s the honest Miami pricing for the most common Abodu kitchen work we do:
- Full Abodu kitchen remodel: $16,520 – $53,100
- Small kitchen remodel (galley, condo, ADU): $10,620 – $23,600
- Cabinet replacement or full installation: $4,720 – $15,340
- New countertops with cabinet work: $2,360 – $7,670
- New backsplash as part of a reno: $945 – $2,950
- Island rebuild or new island install: $3,540 – $11,800
The range moves on three things: how many linear feet of cabinetry, whether we’re cutting into walls or floors for plumbing and electrical, and the countertop material. A laminate top keeps you toward the low end. Quartz from Cambria or Silestone moves you up. Every quote is a written line-item price before we start, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the work in writing for a full year. If a hinge strip-out or slide failure happens on our install within that year, we come back and fix it. No argument.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check a few things yourself. Look at the hinge cup screws for stripping, check if the slide is stamped with a millimeter length, and see whether the cabinet box has pulled away from the wall enough to slide a putty knife behind it. Those checks take ten minutes and tell us what we’re dealing with before we arrive.
What you should not do is start drilling new holes in the cabinet box. Melamine doesn’t forgive a second set of holes, and once the substrate crumbles, the only real fix is a new door or panel. Swapping a 35mm hinge cup requires a Forstner bit and a steady hand; freehanding it with a spade bit ruins the door. And if an upper cabinet has pulled off the wall, that’s a load-bearing situation with glass and dishware above someone’s head. Call us at (850) 801-8046 and we’ll handle it. The estimate is free, and we’ll tell you exactly what’s wrong before we quote a dollar.
FAQs

Expect 8 to 12 years from the hinges and slides, less if the kitchen gets heavy daily use or sits close to the water where salt air accelerates metal fatigue. The cabinet boxes themselves can last 20+ years, but the hardware gives out first in South Florida humidity.
Yes, in most cases we swap the hinge or slide only, and that runs a fraction of a full cabinet replacement. We keep common 35mm hinges and slides in stock so it’s usually a one-trip fix.
A full remodel runs 4 to 8 weeks depending on custom cabinet lead times and permit work. A hardware-only repair is done in a single visit.
We carry 35mm cup hinges, 350mm and 500mm drawer slides, edge banding, and panel stock in our Miami service vehicles. KraftMaid-compatible hardware is also in regular rotation since we service those cabinets too.
Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch. If your Abodu kitchen is showing wear, call (850) 801-8046 for a free estimate. We’ll send a background-checked, uniformed technician, show up on a live arrival window, and hand you a written price before any tool leaves the truck.
