ActiveYards Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide

If you have an ActiveYards kitchen system and you’re staring at a failed part, a wrong-size replacement, or a remodel that never got finished, here’s the straight answer: we match, source, and install ActiveYards-compatible kitchen components across Miami, and a full kitchen remodel with ActiveYards-style cabinetry and counters typically runs $16,520 – $53,100 installed depending on kitchen size, material grade, and how much of the existing framework we can reuse. Most owners discover the problem the hard way: a drawer face delaminates from Miami humidity, a cabinet box pulls away from the wall, or the original installer is gone and the manufacturer won’t return calls. We stock common ActiveYards replacement hardware on the truck and can usually identify what you have from a few photos and measurements.

You don’t need to know the part number to get started. You need photos of the failing component, the cabinet or counter it attaches to, and the rough measurements of the opening. Sawyer Remodel Miami has been doing kitchens in Miami since 2005, and we’ve matched parts for ActiveYards systems that were installed a decade ago and abandoned by the original contractor. We’re an independent remodeling company, not an ActiveYards dealer or affiliate, so we’re not limited to one parts catalog. We source what actually fits.

Which ActiveYards Models This Applies To

A walk-in pantry with wood shelving

ActiveYards is a modular outdoor and indoor kitchen product line built around aluminum-frame cabinetry, polymer and marine-grade panels, and modular counter and grilling components. Most of what we see in Miami falls into three groups: the indoor modular kitchen cabinet systems, the outdoor kitchen frame and panel kits, and the countertop and hardware accessories that ship with both. The compatibility gotcha that trips up most owners is this: ActiveYards changed its rail and clip specs between early and late production runs. A door hinge or drawer slide from a 2012 kit will not always seat correctly in a 2019 frame without a shim kit, and the polymer corner blocks are not interchangeable across the two generations. That’s the kind of thing we check before we order anything.

To identify what you have, look for a small alpha-numeric tag on the inside of the cabinet box or the underside of the counter rail. If that tag is gone, which happens more often than you’d think after a few Miami summers, we go by measurements: opening width, hinge spacing, panel thickness, and the color code if the doors are still matched. For replacement parts, OEM ActiveYards pieces are the right call when the finish has to match exactly, like a powder-coated door panel on a visible front face. Quality aftermarket equivalents work fine for anything structural: drawer slides, hinges, leveling feet, and interior shelving. We’ll tell you which is worth paying for and which isn’t. Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch, and you shouldn’t have to buy a whole new cabinet because one hinge broke.

Signs Your ActiveYards Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Doors or drawer faces that no longer sit flush. The most common cause is hinge wear, but in Miami the real culprit is usually humidity cycling: the polymer frame expands and contracts just enough that the door geometry shifts a few millimeters. You’ll see an uneven gap across the top of the door. The fix is often a hinge swap and a re-shim, not a whole new door.
  • Drawers that stick, sag, or grind when you open them. Slide tracks in ActiveYards cabinets are exposed to salt air and heat. Once the ball bearings starve out, the slide chews itself. We replace the pair, not just the bad side, because mixing a worn slide with a new one guarantees a lopsided drawer in two months.
  • Soft, darkened, or swollen cabinet panels near the sink or dishwasher. Miami humidity finds every edge that was never sealed. Water wicks into the panel core and the panel delaminates from the inside out. By the time you see the bubble on the face, the panel is done. We replace it and seal the raw edge before installing the new one.
  • Counter rail or corner block looseness you can feel when you lean on the counter. Aluminum frames are strong until the fasteners corrode. Near the coast, that happens faster than the manufacturer’s warranty ever anticipated. We re-tap, re-fastener, and reinforce the joint, then re-shim the counter so it sits level again.
  • Leveling feet that won’t hold a level cabinet. This is the one that drives people crazy because the counter slopes and glasses roll. The feet have a finite thread life, and tile floors settle. We replace the feet, but we also check the floor itself because fixing the foot without addressing the slab slope just moves the problem to the next foot in line.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled kitchen with a waterfall island and wood cabinets

A full ActiveYards kitchen remodel in Miami typically runs $16,520 – $53,100 installed. Where you land depends on kitchen size, whether we’re repairing the existing aluminum frame or resetting it, what grade of countertop you choose, and how much custom cutting the job requires. A small kitchen with a partial replacement stays near the bottom of that range. A large kitchen with new countertops, all new drawer slides and hinges, new sink plumbing, and a full cabinet rebuild lands at the top.

  • Cabinet installation: $4,720 – $15,340
  • Countertop installation: $2,360 – $7,670
  • Backsplash installation: $945 – $2,950
  • Kitchen island installation: $3,540 – $11,800
  • Small kitchen remodel (partial): $10,620 – $23,600

Every quote we write in Miami is a written line-item price before work starts. You’ll see the parts cost, the labor, and the tax broken out. If the scope doesn’t change, the invoice matches the quote. Every replacement part we install carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, in writing, on every job. No fine print, no phone tag, no arguing over whose fault it was.

DIY or Call Us?

What you can safely check yourself: take photos of the failing part from three angles, find the model tag if it’s still there, measure the opening width and the panel thickness, and check whether the adjacent cabinets are still level using a simple bubble level. That information is enough for us to identify what you have and give you a real number over the phone. What you should not do is start pulling corner blocks, re-tapping screws into corroded aluminum, or prying a delaminated panel off with a flat bar. ActiveYards frames are modular and load-bearing in ways that aren’t obvious until the counter shifts and the joinery starts to fight you. If the panel is swollen, the frame is loose, or the drawers are binding, call us. We’ve seen enough florida kitchens to know exactly which repair turns into a rebuild when it’s handled wrong. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll walk you through what you’re looking at.
