Atlas Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide

A full Atlas kitchen remodeling project in Miami typically runs $16,520 to $53,100 installed, depending on cabinet count, countertop square footage, and whether walls or plumbing move. We stock and install Atlas-compatible cabinetry, hardware, and trim, and we can usually start within a week of your free estimate. Most Miami homeowners call us after one specific discovery: a cabinet face has cracked at the hinge, a drawer glide has sheared off, or a door won’t close square anymore. That’s the moment a kitchen goes from “looks fine” to “every time I open this drawer I wince.”

You bought Atlas because you wanted cabinetry that holds up in humid, salt-air Florida conditions. When a part fails, you don’t want a generic replacement. You want the right match, priced honestly, installed without a three-week mystery window. That’s what this page is for.

Which Atlas Models This Applies To

Atlas cabinetry lines share a common hardware platform across most series, but there’s a compatibility gotcha worth knowing before you order anything: Atlas has used two different hinge cup boring patterns over the years. Older Atlas cabinets (roughly pre-2017) used a 35mm cup with a 9.5mm bore depth. Newer runs use the same 35mm cup but a 11mm bore. The hinges look nearly identical in a photo. If you buy the wrong generation, the hinge will bind or the door will sit proud of the frame by about an eighth of an inch. We match the hinge to the cabinet, not just “an Atlas hinge.”

Identifying your model is straightforward. Look inside the top drawer or on the inside of a door frame for a printed label with the model number. If the label’s faded or gone, measure the door thickness: Atlas doors come in 3/4-inch and 7/8-inch profiles, and that measurement narrows the series immediately. For OEM versus aftermarket: Atlas hinges and drawer glides are worth buying OEM if you can, because the screw patterns and clip geometry match exactly. For handles, pulls, and soft-close dampers, quality aftermarket equivalents from the same manufacturers (many are sourced from Blum and Salice) fit and last just as long at a better price. We’ll give you both options and the real price difference before you commit.

Sawyer Remodel Miami is an independent service provider. We’re not affiliated with Atlas, and we don’t pretend to be. We just stock and install their stuff because we see a lot of it in Miami kitchens.

Signs Your Atlas Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Door drift or sag: The hinge arm has worn at the pivot point, and the door now hangs lower than it should. You’ll notice a wider gap at the top or the door catching on the frame corner. The fix is usually a hinge swap, not a door replacement.
  • Soft-close stopped working: The damper cylinder inside the hinge has leaked its fluid. Push the door shut and it slams. One dead damper means the rest are probably a few months behind it.
  • Drawer bounces or skews when closing: One glide has come off its track or a ball bearing cage inside the glide has disintegrated. Continuing to use it will scrape the drawer box and bend the glide rail.
  • Door surface bubbling or edge peeling: This is the Miami humidity signature. Atlas uses a thermofoil or laminate face depending on series, and once water vapor gets under the edge, it spreads. Early catch = edge repair. Late catch = new door front.
  • Corner joint gapping at the face frame: The frame joint has loosened over years of thermal expansion and contraction between your AC interior and the garage-side wall. Reinforcing and refastening beats replacing the cabinet, but only if you get to it before the joint splits fully.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Line-item pricing matters, so here’s the real Miami market spread for Atlas-related kitchen work:

  • Full Atlas kitchen remodel: $16,520 – $53,100
  • Cabinet door and hinge replacement (per door): $120 – $380 installed, including the door, hinge hardware, and alignment
  • Drawer glide replacement (per drawer): $60 – $160 installed, depending on glide type and whether the drawer box needs work
  • Cabinet installation (new boxes): $4,720 – $15,340
  • Countertop replacement (Cambria, Silestone, or Caesarstone): $2,360 – $7,670
  • Backsplash installation: $945 – $2,950
  • Kitchen island build-out: $3,540 – $11,800

Everything we quote in Miami is a written line-item price before any work starts. The number on the invoice is the number you approved. Parts and labor are broken out separately, and the workmanship carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, backed in writing. That applies to a single hinge replacement or a full kitchen gut.

DIY or Call Us?

Replacing a cabinet door or adjusting a hinge alignment is something a patient homeowner can handle with a screwdriver and a level. Replacing a drawer glide is also doable if you match the glide type exactly and keep the drawer box square. What we tell Miami homeowners to be careful with: any cabinet that sits above a gas line or electrical run, any island with a downdraft vent, and any scenario where a cabinet box has pulled away from the wall. That wall separation usually means water or structural movement behind the cabinet, and the cabinet is a symptom, not the cause. Same goes for countertop removal over a dishwasher with wiring secured to the cabinet frame. If you’re not sure, snap a photo and text it to us before you start pulling screws.

Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch. If you want the job done once, call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll come measure, match, and price it in writing.
