Boxabl Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide

Most Boxabl kitchen remodeling work in Miami runs between $16,520 and $53,100 installed, depending on whether you’re swapping cabinets and counters in the factory layout or reconfiguring the whole cooking wall. We keep the common Boxabl-compatible cabinet dimensions and countertop profiles in stock, so in most cases we can measure on a Tuesday and have the new kitchen fully installed before your next dinner party. What usually prompts the call: the melamine edging on factory cabinets starts peeling along the bottom, the laminate counters delaminate at seams from Miami humidity, or the fold-out hardware on the sink wall shears after repeated packing and unfolding.

Key Takeaways

  • Installed Boxabl kitchen remodel in Miami: $16,520 – $53,100
  • Most remodels finish in 10 – 18 working days once materials land
  • We stock KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone options sized for Boxabl’s 9.5-foot and 19.5-foot interior widths
  • Written price before any work starts, 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing
  • Not affiliated with Boxabl – we’re the independent crew Miami calls when factory parts don’t hold up

Which Boxabl Models This Applies To

A small remodeled galley kitchen with cabinets to the ceiling

We work on the Casita (375 sq ft) and any Boxabl unit built on the 19.5-foot-wide chassis that uses the standard 8-foot modular ceiling grid. The kitchen wall is the give: if your cooktop, sink, and storage run along one continuous exterior wall with the refrigerator pocket at the end, you’ve got the standard Boxabl kitchen block and everything below applies. If you have a custom third-party kitchen added after delivery, we’ll still measure it, but the pricing may shift outside the core range.

Here’s the compatibility gotcha most owners don’t know until a hinge rips out: Boxabl’s cabinet boxes are 24 inches deep with a fixed 20.5-inch interior opening, not the 23.5-inch opening standard in site-built Miami homes. Standard big-box cabinets won’t slide in without shimming and cutting filler strips, and most installers won’t tell you that until the demolition is already done. We order Boxabl-fit cabinet depths from KraftMaid and Wellborn, or custom-cut them in the shop when the price needs to stay lower. For counters, Boxabl’s factory laminate runs at a 25.5-inch depth with a built-in drip edge, and we’re the only crew in Miami we know of that templates for that exact overhang instead of slapping a generic slab on and calling it a day.

Signs Your Boxabl Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Cabinet doors won’t stay square after a re-level. The factory hinges are fastened into particleboard with 9mm screws, and after a few months on a shifting Miami slab or a few too many transport folds, the screw holes wallow out. Doors sag, catch on the frame, or fall off entirely.
  • Counter seams visibly separate within a year. Miami’s humidity swings from wet-season saturation to dry-season air conditioning cycles, and the factory laminate expands and contracts enough to crack the seam filler. Once water gets in, the substrate swells and you’ve got a soft spot under the sink.
  • Drawer slides bind or drop on one side. Boxabl’s factory slides are light-duty undermounts rated for about 75 pounds. Once pots and pans go in, or the unit gets moved and re-folded, the ball bearings grind flat and the drawer drops.
  • Soft-close stops working after transport. The damper clips snap when the unit is folded and unfolded with the kitchen still loaded. We see it on nearly half of the Boxabl homes that get relocated even once.
  • Melamine faces bubble or peel along the bottom 2 inches. That’s moisture wicking up from mopping, especially in Miami’s wet season. The factory edge banding is iron-on PVC, and once it lifts, the particleboard behind it starts to crumble fast.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A walk-in pantry with wood shelving

A full Boxabl kitchen remodel in Miami lands between $16,520 and $53,100, and the spread comes down to three things: cabinet grade, countertop material, and whether you’re staying inside the factory footprint or moving plumbing. If you’re keeping the same layout and swapping in stock cabinets with a mid-grade stone or quartz counter, you’ll sit in the low-to-mid $20s. If you’re reconfiguring the wall, adding an island, or running solid-surface counters end to end, you’ll climb past $35,000 and potentially north of $50,000.

Every quote includes demolition and haul-away of the factory kitchen, cabinet and counter install, plumbing disconnect and reconnect at the sink, electrical for under-cabinet lighting if you’re doing it, and a written line-item price before a single tool comes off the truck. We also handle backsplash and box-column trim replacements. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is in writing on every Boxabl kitchen we do – if something isn’t right, we fix it within the year, no invoice.

Smaller, targeted fixes sit below that range: cabinet refacing or box repair starts at $4,720, a countertop-only swap runs $2,360 – $7,670, and a backsplash refresh is $945 – $2,950. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll walk through which line items actually apply to your unit.

DIY or Call Us?

Some things you can absolutely do yourself on a Boxabl kitchen. Swapping cabinet pulls, re-caulking the sink seam, tightening drawer slide screws – all fair game and we’ll tell you how over the phone without charging you. What you shouldn’t touch: anything involving the gas supply, the electrical runs behind the sink wall, or pulling a countertop that’s glued to the wall panel. Boxabl wall panels aren’t standard drywall or studs; they’re a composite sandwich panel with interior chase spaces, and cutting into the wrong one will cost you more than the remodel itself. We’ve pulled the factory manual on three different model years and the wall section drawings vary enough that we re-verify every single cut before we make it.

If you’re pricing things out, call (850) 801-8046. You’ll talk to a person. We’ll give you a real number range before we ever schedule the visit, and you can decide from there.
