Caesarstone Home Additions & ADU: The Miami Owner’s Guide
We install Caesarstone countertops and surfaces as part of home additions and ADU builds across Miami, with most projects landing between $53,100 and $153,400 depending on square footage, plumbing, electrical, and the specific Caesarstone slabs you choose. If you already have Caesarstone in an addition or ADU and a section has failed, cracked, delaminated, or separated at a seam, we can match the color and spec and replace it without tearing into the rest of the structure. The way most Miami owners discover a problem is subtle at first: a hairline crack at a sink cutout, a dull spot that won’t polish, or a seam that opens up just enough to catch a fingernail. Left alone in our humidity, that small issue becomes a water path into the cabinetry, and then the cost doubles.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To
Caesarstone runs several distinct lines, and the part or slab that fits one won’t necessarily match another. The three you’re most likely to see in Miami ADUs and additions are the Supernatural line, the Classico line, and the Outdoor line. Supernatural tends toward matte and textured finishes, Classico is polished and smooth, and Outdoor is UV-stable with a different resin system built for direct sun. If your slab was installed after 2019 in a Miami addition, there’s a good chance it’s Supernatural. If it predates that and has a high-gloss finish, Classico is the likely match. To confirm exactly what you’re working with, check the underside of the slab near the sink cutout. Caesarstone laser-etches the model name, lot number, and color code there. If the slab is already installed and the underside isn’t accessible, measure the thickness: Caesarstone runs 1 cm, 2 cm, and 3 cm. Most Miami ADU kitchen counters are 3 cm, but vanity tops in ADU bathrooms frequently run 2 cm. That thickness difference changes the edge profile, the overhang rules, and the trim work, so it’s the first spec we verify. We stock common Miami color ranges in 3 cm, and we can order any active Caesarstone color inside five business days. We are an independent installer, not a Caesarstone factory outlet, which means we’re free to tell you when an aftermarket edge profile makes more sense than the OEM detail without any brand loyalty getting in the way.

Signs Your Caesarstone Home Additions & ADU Is Failing
- A seam that’s opened up enough to catch a fingernail. This usually means the original installer didn’t leave a proper expansion gap, and Miami’s heat cycle did the rest. Quartz expands and contracts; if the seam was butted tight, it separates. The fix is a color-matched adhesive fill after cleaning out the old joint.
- A crack running off a sink or cooktop cutout. The radius of the inside corner was likely cut too tight, creating a stress point. We see this in ADU kitchenettes where the slab is narrow and the cutout eats up most of the width. It’s a fabrication issue, not a material defect, and it won’t self-heal.
- Chalky white spots that won’t polish out. This is acid etching or heat damage. Caesarstone is non-porous, but acidic cleaners and hot pans straight off the burner dull the resin binder. It’s cosmetic, but once the sheen goes, it spreads visually across the whole counter.
- Water staining or swelling in the cabinet below a counter edge. The slab isn’t failing, but the seal between counter and backsplash has failed, and Miami’s humidity is doing the rest. Left alone, you get mold inside the cabinet and delamination at the backsplash seam.
- A slab edge that’s chipped along the overhang. Common in ADU bathrooms where the vanity is tight to a door swing. A bag, a hip, a door handle, and suddenly the 2 cm edge has a dime-sized chip. It’s repairable in place with color-matched resin, though the repair is only as invisible as the original finish allows.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For Caesarstone work inside a Miami home addition or ADU, the slab replacement itself typically runs $2,360 to $7,670 per installed counter. The broader project range for a full addition or ADU with Caesarstone surfaces sits at $53,100 to $153,400, and that covers framing, drywall, plumbing, electrical, permits, and the counter installation as one scope. What changes the number most is whether this is an existing ADU getting a new kitchen counter or a from-scratch addition where the Caesarstone is just one line item in a five-figure build. For slab work, that installed price includes removal of the failed section, seam preparation, color-matched adhesive, slab fabrication with the correct edge profile, and final polish. We pull permits when the scope requires them, and every job carries our written price before any work starts plus the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, in writing, for a full year.
DIY or Call Us?
If a seam has opened up, you can clean it out with acetone and stop using that section until it’s assessed. If you’ve got a chip, don’t sand it; quartz dust is silica, and breathing it is a lung hazard. What you should not attempt is any crack repair, seam re-glue, or slab section replacement. The color-matching alone is a craft, and the suction cups, rail saw, and seam-setting tools cost more than the labor on most jobs. And honestly, a failed seam fill with the wrong adhesive turns a two-hour repair into a full slab replacement. Call (850) 801-8046, send us a photo of the issue, and we’ll give you a written price before anyone steps onto the property.
FAQs

With normal use in Miami’s climate, a properly installed Caesarstone counter should last 20 years or more before showing significant wear. The variables that shorten that are direct sun exposure through south-facing windows, installed Outdoor-line slabs indoors with cheaper resin, and failure to address seam separation early. We’ve pulled 22-year-old slabs in Coral Gables that still polished out fine, and we’ve replaced five-year-old counters in Brickell that were installed without expansion joints.
Yes, if the damage is a chip, a separated seam, or a dull spot. A crack through a cutout generally cannot be repaired in a way that will hold, because the stress point is still there. We’ll tell you honestly which camp you’re in. Call (850) 801-8046 for an exact quote, estimates are free.
For a simple slab section swap where we have the color in stock, it’s a one-day job from tear-out to finished install. If we’re ordering the slab, expect about a week. A full ADU build or addition with Caesarstone surfaces is typically a six-to-ten-week project depending on permitting and inspection windows in Miami-Dade. We’ll give you a written timeline with the written price, not a ballpark.
We stock the most common Miami color range in 3 cm for kitchens and 2 cm for vanities, and we can order any active Caesarstone color within five business days. If you’re trying to match an existing slab, send us the laser-etched code from the underside and we’ll confirm the color and lot match before you spend a dollar. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll walk you through finding that code.
Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch. If you’ve got a Caesarstone counter in a Miami addition or ADU that’s failed or failing, call (850) 801-8046 for a free estimate. We’ll put the price in writing before the first tool is picked up, and you’ll know exactly who’s walking onto your property and when they’ll arrive. That’s the Relay Standard, and it’s how we’ve run every job we’ve done in Miami and nearby areas.
