Cambria Bathroom Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
A full Cambria bathroom remodel in Miami runs $10,620 to $33,040 installed, depending on whether you’re replacing a shower surround, adding a quartz vanity top, or gutting the room to the studs. We stock Cambria-compatible trim, edge profiles, and slab remnants at our Miami shop, and we can usually start within the week once you approve a written quote. Most owners call us after water finds its way behind a Cambria shower panel or the silicone around a quartz seam starts peeling away, and the fix is rarely just cosmetic once moisture gets in.
Cambria is a quartz surface, not natural stone, which sounds like a detail until water damage spreads behind it and you realize the panel itself survived but the substrate didn’t. That’s the Miami story we see constantly: humidity and hard water do slow, patient work on the edges of an otherwise indestructible material. The remodeling is about what’s behind and around the Cambria, not the Cambria itself.
Which Cambria Models This Applies To

Cambria makes one surface product line, but it’s cut and installed in three ways that matter for a bathroom remodel in Miami: slab countertops and vanity tops, shower wall panels, and tub surrounds. Each uses the same quartz but different thicknesses and edge profiles. Standard Cambria slabs come 2cm or 3cm thick. In a shower, 2cm panels are the norm because walls don’t need the structural weight of a countertop. On a vanity, 3cm gives you the overhang strength without plywood underlayment.
If you still have your original order paperwork, the Cambria design ID is printed on it, and that ID tells us the exact color and finish runs. No paperwork? We can usually match the color from a high-res photo, but slab lots vary slightly across production years, so an exact match for a 10-year-old vanity top means ordering a current sample kit and holding it against the existing piece before we cut anything. That step costs a week and nothing else, and it’s the difference between a seamless patch and a visible seam.
OEM Cambria edge profiles are Cambria-specific, but the slab itself is just quartz. If you’re replacing a single cracked panel, aftermarket quartz in a close color match is a legitimate option, but Cambria’s warranty is voided the moment a non-Cambria piece touches the same surface run. If you’re in year four of a lifetime warranty, the OEM route is the only one that keeps that coverage alive.

Signs Your Cambria Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Seam separation at the shower corners. Cambria panels don’t flex, but the framing behind them does, especially in Miami’s humidity swings. When the silicone bead at a corner joint stretches and gaps, water gets behind the panel and rots the drywall or framing behind it.
- Persistent mildew smell with no visible mold. Mold is growing behind the Cambria panel, feeding on wet wood or gypsum. The surface looks fine, but the smell is the tell. By the time you see staining at the panel edges, the substrate is already gone.
- A vanity top that’s pulling away from the wall. The cabinet below is swelling or the wall has moisture damage. Cambria doesn’t warp, so any gap between the quartz and the wall means the structure underneath is moving, not the stone.
- Discolored or soft drywall where the shower meets the floor. The waterproofing at the pan-to-wall transition failed. Water wicks up the wall and the first visible damage appears at the bottom edge of the Cambria panel, not behind it.
- Loose or hollow-sounding shower panels. The adhesive bond between the Cambria slab and the backer board has failed in spots. Tap around the panel; a dull thud is bonded, a hollow ping is not. Water is collecting in those voids.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Bathroom remodeling in Miami with Cambria surfaces lands in specific ranges depending on scope. A straight vanity top replacement runs $945 to $3,540. Replacing a failed shower surround with new Cambria panels runs $5,310 to $14,160. A full bathroom remodel where the Cambria work is part of tearing out and rebuilding the room starts at $10,620 and tops out around $33,040. That full-remodel range includes demolition, framing repair, waterproofing, plumbing rough-in and finish, electrical, tile or Cambria surface installation, and fixture installs from our partner brands like Kohler.
Three things drive the spread. First, what we find when the old panels come off: if the studs are solid, the job is straightforward; if termites or water got there first, the framing repair is a separate line item before we can rebuild. Second, slab thickness: 3cm Cambria costs more per square foot than 2cm, and it cuts slower. Third, edge profiles and cutouts: a simple eased edge with two faucet holes is different money than a mitered waterfall edge and three sink cutouts.
Every quote includes the written price before we touch a tool, demolition and debris hauling, the Cambria or equivalent surface, waterproofing to code, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing: if something isn’t right within a year of completion, we come back and make it right. No change orders, no surprise line items at the end.
DIY or Call Us?
Here’s the honest version. A homeowner in Miami can safely remove a loose Cambria vanity backsplash, clean the silicone, and re-caulk a seam. That’s maintenance, not remodeling, and it can buy you a year if you catch it early. What you cannot and should not do yourself is pull a shower panel to see what’s behind it. Cambria panels weigh 12 to 15 pounds per square foot. A 60-inch shower panel is over 300 pounds of quartz, and that weight coming off a wall is how fingers get crushed and backs get thrown out. If the panel is loose enough that you’re considering it, the structural damage behind it is already the real project.
We also don’t recommend owner-removal of any panel that shares a corner with plumbing. Once you open that wall, Miami building code requires waterproofing to current standards, and a handyman patch job won’t pass inspection, won’t stop the leak, and will void whatever Cambria warranty survives. If you want us to take a look and tell you what’s actually going on, call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll come out for an honest assessment.
FAQs

A properly installed Cambria surface in a Miami bathroom lasts 20 to 30 years on the quartz itself. The surrounding waterproofing, silicone, grout, and substrate typically need attention well before that, which is why a remodel that cuts corners on waterproofing fails in three to five years here, while one that gets the prep right stays tight for decades. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll tell you which path your bathroom is on.
Small chips can be filled and color-matched well enough to disappear. A crack through the slab is a replacement, full stop. Quartz doesn’t flex, so a cracked panel can’t be glued back together in a way that’s safe or waterproof under shower use. Call (850) 801-8046 for a straight answer on whether yours is repairable.
A vanity top replacement is done in one day. A shower surround rebuild with new Cambria panels runs three to five working days, including waterproofing and cure time. A full bathroom remodel with Cambria surfaces is two to three weeks, depending on plumbing and electrical scope. Every project gets a written timeline and the relay visibility updates before you sign.
We keep Cambria remnants in common Miami colorways at our shop for small repairs and vanity tops. Full slab orders ship from Cambria’s distribution network and typically land in seven to ten business days. We handle the measurement, template, cutting, and installation, so you’re not coordinating anything yourself. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll tell you what we have in stock before you commit to a color.
If your Cambria bathroom surface is failing in Miami, we’ll tell you what’s wrong, what it costs, and how long it takes. We also work with KraftMaid cabinetry, Silestone counters, and Kohler fixtures, so the rest of the room can match the standard your Cambria set. Call (850) 801-8046 for a free written estimate. Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch.
