Delta Fence Installation: The Miami Owner’s Guide
Delta fence installation in Miami typically runs $4,130 to $10,620 for a full perimeter project, with most homes landing between $5,500 and $8,000 depending on linear footage, gate hardware, and whether we’re pulling old posts or setting new ones. Most Delta-style vinyl and aluminum fences fail in two places first: the post bases, where Miami’s rain saturates the soil and loosens concrete anchors, or the gate hinges, which sag under daily use and salt air. You’ll usually notice it as a fence that leans after a storm, a gate that drags across the pavers, or a section that rattles when the wind picks up off Biscayne Bay.
We stock Delta-compatible fence panels, posts, and gate kits on our trucks, and we install them the same way every time: written price before we dig, holes set below Miami’s seasonal water table shift, and a gate that swings true when we leave. Sawyer Remodel Miami is an independent service provider, not affiliated with Delta, but we’ve worked with their fence systems long enough to know which parts hold up in South Florida and which ones don’t.
Which Delta Models This Applies To

Delta’s fence line breaks into three rough families, and the parts are not interchangeable between them. The Delta vinyl privacy series uses 5″ x 5″ routed posts with 1.5″ thick panels that slide into pre-cut channels. The Delta aluminum series runs on 2″ square posts with brackets that screw through the rail, not into it. The Delta composite series uses a hybrid frame that takes both vinyl and aluminum pickets, which sounds convenient until you order the wrong panel width.
The fastest way to identify what you have is to look at the inside of a post cap or the bottom rail. Delta stamps a series code there, usually a letter followed by two or three digits. If that stamp is gone, measure the post: vinyl posts run 5″ square, aluminum posts run 2″ square. On replacement parts, we default to OEM Delta components when the fence is under 5 years old, because the color match matters. After that, Miami UV exposure has faded the original finish enough that a quality aftermarket panel in the same profile actually blends better than a brand-new OEM piece against aged sections. We’ll tell you which way to go when we see it, not before.

Signs Your Delta Fence Installation Is Failing
- Posts leaning after rain. Miami’s limestone soil drains fast in the dry season and swells in the wet season. If the post concrete was set shallow (under 24 inches), the post works loose at the base. We see this most in Kendall and Westchester, where the water table sits close to the surface.
- Gate dragging or refusing to latch. Hinges wear on the side that carries the gate’s full weight. On Delta aluminum gates, the hinge screws back out of the post over time. On vinyl gates, the post itself starts to torque. Either way, adjusting the latch only buys you weeks.
- Panels rattling or bowing between posts. Miami wind loads are real, especially in Doral and along the coast. A panel that flexes when you push on it has lost its bottom rail clip or its top rail support. Ignore it long enough and a gust snaps the rail.
- White or chalky streaks on vinyl sections. That’s oxidation from years of South Florida sun and salt air. It doesn’t mean the fence failed, but it means the surface can’t take a new fasten-and-patch repair without looking like a patch. Full section replacement usually looks cleaner.
- Ground clearance disappearing. If the fence bottom is now buried in grass or mulch, the post bases have settled. That’s a soil compaction issue, not a Delta defect, and the fix is lifting and re-setting the posts deeper, not trimming panel bottoms.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a standard 6-foot Miami residential fence, here’s what we quote:
- Full Delta vinyl fence installation: $4,130 to $10,620, depending on 150 to 350 linear feet and gate count.
- Partial section replacement (one 8-foot panel with two posts): $420 to $780 installed, including concrete and haul-away.
- Gate replacement with Delta hardware: $350 to $950 installed, depending on gate width and whether the post needs re-setting.
- Post re-setting only (dig, re-concrete, re-secure): $160 to $320 per post.
Every quote is a written line-item price before we start. No change orders at the end of the day, no “oh, we found the post anchors needed upgrading” surprises. The number you approve is the number you pay. Our workmanship warranty runs a full year under the 365-Day Done Right Promise; if something’s not right, we make it right, in writing.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely inspect your fence yourself. Look at the post base where it meets the concrete, check whether the gate sags when open, and walk the line looking for panels that shift when you press on them. That tells us what to expect before we arrive. What we don’t recommend is pulling posts and re-setting them on your own. A vinyl post with a full panel attached is heavy, awkward, and if the wind catches it mid-lift, it takes out the neighbor’s car or your shoulder. Miami’s shallow water table can also collapse a post hole while you’re working in it. Call us at (850) 801-8046 and we’ll send a uniformed technician who has done this more times than you’ve had cafecito mornings.
FAQs

A properly installed Delta vinyl or aluminum fence in Miami lasts 20 to 25 years, but the gate hinges and latches typically need replacing at the 7-to-10-year mark due to salt air and daily use. A fence set with shallow posts may need post re-setting within 5 years. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll tell you honestly whether your fence needs a repair or a replacement.
Yes, a leaning post can usually be re-set by digging out the old concrete, drilling a deeper hole, and pouring a new anchor, which costs $160 to $320 per post in Miami depending on access and soil conditions. If the post itself is cracked at the base, replacement is the better call. We’ll show you the post before we decide with you.
Most single-section replacements take us 2 to 4 hours on site, including concrete set time for the new posts. A full fence installation takes 2 to 4 days depending on linear footage, gate count, and how much old fence has to come out first. You get a written timeline before we start.
We stock common Delta vinyl and aluminum panels, posts, gate hardware, and post anchors on our trucks, so most Miami service calls finish in one visit. If your specific series requires a special-order panel, we tell you before we schedule and you get a photo update the moment it arrives. Call (850) 801-8046 for a free estimate.
If your fence is leaning, dragging, or starting to look like it’s had enough of Miami summers, call (850) 801-8046 for a free, written estimate. Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch.
