Dvele Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide

If you own a Dvele home in Miami and the kitchen is showing its age, a full Dvele kitchen remodel typically runs between $16,520 and $53,100 installed, depending on cabinet count, countertop material, and whether you’re moving plumbing or electrical. Most Dvele kitchens we quote in Miami fall between $24,000 and $38,000 for a complete gut-and-rebuild with name-brand materials. You’ll usually notice it first in the cabinets: soft-close hinges that no longer catch, drawer faces pulling loose from the melamine, or edge banding peeling where humidity got in. Dvele builds a tight, high-performance envelope, but the kitchen still takes daily abuse, and Miami’s salt air and moisture load accelerates failure in budget cabinet hardware and laminate surfaces faster than most homeowners expect.

Which Dvele Models This Applies To

Dvele’s homes ship in a range of configurations, and the kitchen spec varies by series and build year. The older inventory from 2018 to 2021 often used slab-style flat-panel doors with integrated finger pulls, while newer models shifted toward shaker profiles with brushed nickel or matte black hardware. The compatibility gotcha most owners miss: Dvele’s cabinet boxes are metric-dimensioned to their modular panel system, so a standard 24-inch American cabinet won’t always drop into the same footprint without fillers or modifications. We measure every rough opening and check the cabinet-to-wall attachment points before we order anything. As an independent Miami contractor, we’re not affiliated with Dvele, but we’ve worked on enough of their homes to know which aftermarket lines match up cleanly, and when OEM-adjacent materials are worth the extra cost. For most remodels, we recommend mid-to-upper tier lines from KraftMaid or Wellborn for cabinetry, with Cambria or Silestone for counters, because they hold up better to Florida humidity than the stock laminate Dvele originally specified.

Signs Your Dvele Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Cabinet doors won’t stay closed or hang crooked. The soft-close hardware wears out first, especially on the pots-and-pans base. Once hinges start failing, the door weight stresses the screw holes and you get sag that spreads to every door on that run.
  • Swollen or peeling edges on cabinet boxes and drawer faces. Miami’s humidity works on particleboard and melamine from the edges in. Once the edge banding lifts, moisture gets under the laminate and the panel starts to swell. That’s structural, not cosmetic.
  • Counter laminate separating at the sink and dishwasher seams. Water exposure at the sink cutout is the first failure point. Once you see lifting or bubbling within six inches of the sink, the substrate is already wet and the repair stops being a repair.
  • Drawers racking or binding when you pull them. The extension slides Dvele used on some early runs were undermounts with plastic clips. Those clips crack, the drawer tilts, and pretty soon you’re fighting it every time.
  • Caulk lines around the backsplash cracking or pulling away. That tells you the wall assembly is moving, or the original caulk failed and water’s getting behind the tile. Either way, ignoring it turns a cosmetic fix into a mold and drywall problem.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

We put the price in writing before a single tool is picked up, and the number you approve is the number on the invoice. A Dvele kitchen remodel in Miami runs $16,520 to $53,100. On the lower end, that’s new cabinet faces and hardware, new counters, a backsplash refresh, and paint. On the higher end, that’s a full gut: new cabinetry, countertops, island rebuild, plumbing and electrical moved, and new flooring. The range swings on three things: cabinet count and configuration, material grade (laminate vs Cambria quartz vs Silestone, for example), and whether Miami-Dade’s permitting and inspection process applies to the work. That last part isn’t optional. We pull permits when the job requires them, pass the inspections, and you get a written warranty on the whole install. Every job is covered under our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right. You’ll also get a live arrival time, photo updates, and a digital invoice you can pay from your phone.

DIY or Call Us?

You can safely handle a few things yourself: swapping out cabinet pulls, touching up paint, replacing a broken soft-close hinge with the same make and model. Once you’re into removing cabinet boxes, cutting countertops, or moving plumbing and electrical, you should stop. Kitchen remodeling isn’t like snaking a drain or changing a light fixture. You’re dealing with water lines, gas if the range moves, and load-bearing considerations on an island. A bad waterproofing job behind a sink or under a backsplash won’t show up for a year, and by then you’re tearing out drywall. If the work involves relocating a sink, range, or any gas appliance, call us. We check the layout, the cut sheets, and the fixtures against Miami-Dade code before we demo a single cabinet. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll walk through what you have, what it needs, and what it costs to do right.
