Jerith Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide

If you’ve got a Jerith kitchen and a part that’s failed or is starting to go, here’s the direct answer: we stock Jerith-compatible kitchen components, we install them throughout Miami, and a full kitchen remodel here typically runs $16,520 to $53,100. For a single component swap like a cabinet door, hinge set, or drawer glide, you’re usually looking at a few hundred dollars installed, not a full remodel budget. Most owners discover the problem the same way: a drawer that suddenly grinds, a door that won’t stay closed, or a hinge that’s sagging under the weight of a solid-wood front. You’re not crazy, it happened fast, and it’s usually one specific part, not the whole kitchen.

We’re Sawyer Remodel Miami, an independent contractor serving Miami and nearby areas. We’re not affiliated with Jerith, but we work on their cabinetry and kitchen components regularly enough to know exactly what fails and what fits. Luca Romano, our owner and lead contractor, learned the trade at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and has been running job sites across the country long enough to recognize a bad hinge by the sound it makes.

Which Jerith Models This Applies To

Jerith cabinetry and kitchen systems share common hardware and component families, so identifying your exact model matters less than identifying the failed part correctly. Here’s what to look for before you call us.

  • Check the drawer box or cabinet interior. Jerith stamps or labels their cabinet boxes on the inside of the sink base or on the drawer box side. That label usually carries the series name and a part number. If it’s faded or gone, don’t worry, we can identify the part by measurement.
  • Hinge pattern is the biggest compatibility gotcha. Jerith cabinets in Miami run two common hinge patterns: 35mm cup hinges on their mid-range and upper lines, and a smaller 26mm cup on some older entry-level doors. Buy the wrong cup size and the door won’t seat, period. We measure before we order, every time.
  • Drawer glide length is specific. Jerith drawers typically use 18-inch or 21-inch side-mount glides, and they’re not interchangeable. A 21-inch glide on an 18-inch drawer means the drawer won’t close. A 18-inch glide on a 21-inch drawer means the drawer sags and sticks.
  • OEM vs aftermarket. For hinges and glides, we stock quality aftermarket equivalents from Blum and Salice that match or exceed Jerith’s OEM hardware. For door and drawer fronts, we recommend OEM-matched replacements because the finish and grain pattern need to match the rest of your kitchen. It’s worth the extra week of lead time not to have a mismatched door.

Signs Your Jerith Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Door won’t stay closed. The hinge spring has lost tension or the hinge cup has stripped out of the door. This is the most common Jerith failure we see in Miami, and it’s usually a $45 to $120 fix including the hinge and the labor.
  • Drawer grinds or catches when you open it. The glide’s ball bearings have worn flat, or the glide has come loose from the drawer box. Once bearings go, the glide chews itself up fast. If you keep forcing it, you’ll crack the drawer box.
  • Soft-close feature stopped working. Jerith soft-close hinges and glides use a small hydraulic damper inside the mechanism. Once that damper leaks its fluid, the soft-close is gone. You can’t refill it. The part gets replaced.
  • Cabinet door sits crooked or gaps at the bottom. This is usually a hinge adjustment issue, not a failed part. Two screws control the angle. But if the hinge plate has pulled out of the cabinet face, that’s a stripped-screw repair, and it needs a dowel-and-redrill fix, not just a longer screw.
  • Drawer front separating from the drawer box. Miami humidity swells wood, and Jerith’s glue joints can fail under that repeated expansion and contraction. Once the front is loose, the drawer will rack and jam. This needs a re-glue and clamp, not a new drawer, unless it’s gone too far.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled kitchen with painted cabinets and a farmhouse sink

For a single Jerith hardware or component replacement in Miami, plan on these installed ranges:

  • Hinge replacement: $45 – $120 per door (hinge plus labor)
  • Drawer glide replacement: $65 – $150 per drawer (pair of glides plus labor)
  • Drawer front re-glue or repair: $85 – $180 per drawer
  • Cabinet door replacement (OEM-matched): $180 – $450 per door depending on size and finish
  • Full hardware refresh (all hinges and glides): $1,200 – $3,400 for an average Miami kitchen

If the hardware failure is part of a larger problem, like water damage inside the cabinet box or delaminated cabinet sides, you’re into partial or full kitchen remodel territory, which runs $16,520 to $53,100 in Miami. That range covers everything from a modest pull-and-replace to a full gut with new layout, cabinetry, countertops, and finishes. Every quote we write is a fixed number before we start. The invoice number you approve is the number you pay. No change orders, no surprise line items. And every repair carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, in writing, for a full year.

DIY or Call Us?

Here’s the honest split. You can check the hinge screws and the glide mounting screws yourself. If a screw is loose, tighten it. If the soft-close stopped working, that’s a sealed damper, and no tightening will bring it back. What you shouldn’t attempt is a drawer glide replacement on a Jerith drawer with a dovetail box. If you drill the new glide mounting holes even 1/8 inch off, the drawer binds, and now you’re replacing a drawer box, not a glide. Same deal with hinge replacement: the cup hole is bored to a precise depth. A hand drill with a Forstner bit will blow through the door face if you’re not dead-on. That’s a $300 door ruined to save $75 in labor. If the part is a hinge, glide, or soft-close mechanism, call us at (850) 801-8046 and we’ll match the part, install it, and guarantee it. Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch.
