Kohler Kitchen Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
Kohler kitchen remodeling in Miami typically runs $16,520 to $53,100 for a full kitchen, with smaller scopes like cabinet installation landing between $4,720 and $15,340. If your Kohler faucet, sink, or fixture has failed and you’re weighing a repair against a broader remodel, we stock common Kohler replacement parts on our trucks and install them same-visit in most cases. The way owners usually find us: a Kohler pull-down faucet stops retracting, a soap dispenser seizes, or a sink flange starts leaking into the cabinet below, and the part is either discontinued or backordered everywhere online.
We’re Sawyer Remodel Miami, and we’ve been running Kohler-specific kitchen work across Miami long enough to know which parts fail on which models, what’s worth salvaging, and when a failing part is the nudge to gut the whole kitchen and start fresh. Luca Romano leads the crew. He learned the trade at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and has spent years remodeling kitchens from Coral Gables to Brickell, so he’s seen every Kohler failure mode Florida humidity can produce.
Which Kohler Models This Applies To

We work on the full Kohler kitchen line: the Simplice, Bellera, Malleco, and Artifacts faucet series; the Ironridge, Prolific, and Whitehaven sink lines; plus Kohler touchless controls and under-sink filtration. Before you call, grab the model number off the product tag, usually on the supply line for faucets or the underside of the sink rim for basins. Kohler stamps K-series numbers like K-596, K-2205, or K-6488, and having that number ready saves us a trip to confirm what you already know.
One compatibility gotcha that trips people up: Kohler’s pull-down faucets use model-specific docking collars and weight mechanisms, and the Simplice uses a different hose assembly than the Bellera even though the handles look nearly identical. Aftermarket cartridges are fine for many single-handle Kohler faucets, but for the ceramic disc on the Artifacts line we always recommend the OEM part because the third-party tolerances tend to weep within a year in Miami’s water. We stock OEM Kohler cartridges, spray heads, and docking weights for the most common Miami-installed models, and we order anything oddball with a written ETA before we schedule the install.
We’re an independent contractor, not a Kohler subsidiary. That matters because we’re not tied to whatever Kohler’s warranty department decides. If you have an active Kohler warranty, we’ll help you file the claim and install the replacement they send. If you don’t, we’ll source the right part and put a written price in your hand before we touch a wrench.

Signs Your Kohler Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Faucet keeps dripping after you turn it off. The ceramic disc cartridge has mineral buildup or a worn seal. In Miami, hard water and sediment from older building pipes accelerate this, so a cartridge that would last a decade elsewhere starts weeping at year five or six here.
- The pull-down spray head won’t stay docked. The docking collar is worn, or the counterweight under the sink has slipped out of position on the hose. On the Simplice, the weight is a split-ring clamp that loosens over time; we’ve fixed dozens in Brickell high-rises without removing the faucet.
- Water pressure drops at the kitchen sink only. The aerator screen is clogged with sediment, or the spray head’s flow restrictor is packed with mineral scale. Clean the aerator yourself in vinegar first; if pressure doesn’t return, the valve body itself is failing.
- The faucet base is loose or you see rust flakes under the handle. The mounting hardware inside the deck plate has corroded, common in coastal Miami kitchens where salt air sneaks in. Tightening usually strips the threads, so the repair is a new mounting kit rather than a quick turn.
- The sink is stained, chipped, or the finish is flaking around the drain. Kohler’s enamel and Neoroc sinks are tough, but impact damage from a dropped pot or years of abrasive cleaners eventually breaks the surface. If water is pooling in a chip near the drain, the sink needs replacement before the cabinet rots underneath.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Replacing a single Kohler kitchen component in Miami is a different budget than a full remodel, and we price them separately so you’re never paying remodel rates for a faucet swap.
- Faucet cartridge replacement: $295 – $590 installed, including the OEM Kohler cartridge if we supply it.
- Pull-down spray head and hose assembly: $175 – $400 installed.
- Complete Kohler faucet replacement: $470 – $1,180 installed, depending on the model you choose.
- Kitchen sink replacement (drop-in): $710 – $1,770 installed, including disposal reconnection and new supply lines.
- Full kitchen remodel with Kohler fixtures: $16,520 – $53,100, which includes everything from cabinet installation at $4,720 – $15,340 to countertops at $2,360 – $7,670 to backsplash at $945 – $2,950.
Every one of those numbers is the total installed price, parts and labor together, written down before work starts. That’s The Relay Standard, and it applies whether we’re swapping a $175 spray head or gutting a whole kitchen in Coral Gables. The invoice you approve is the invoice you pay. We don’t do change orders unless you ask for something new.
Workmanship on any repair or install is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, backed in writing on every project. If a repair fails within a year, the second visit is free. No argument, no fine print.
DIY or Call Us?
Here’s the honest split. Replacing an aerator, adjusting a loose counterweight, or cleaning a spray head screen are jobs any Miami homeowner can handle with a set of channel locks and some vinegar. We’d rather tell you that than bill you $175 to soak a screen. But once you’re pulling cartridges on a Kohler Artifacts, removing sink mounting clips, or touching supply lines and P-trap connections under a sink that’s two decades old, you’re past the safe DIY line. We’ve repaired more than a few cabinets where a homeowner cross-threaded a plastic mounting nut or over-tightened a supply line and found the leak a week later. The cost of our $295 cartridge swap looks cheap compared to replacing a rotted base cabinet.
If you’re not sure which side of the line you’re on, call (850) 801-8046 and describe the symptom. We’ll tell you over the phone whether it’s a five-minute fix or a truck roll. No pressure either way. Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch.
FAQs

A Kohler kitchen faucet in Miami typically lasts 8 to 15 years before the cartridge seals or spray head internals fail, though hard water and coastal salt air can cut that to 6 to 8 years for models used heavily every day. Sinks, especially enamel-on-cast-iron and Neoroc, should last 20 years or more unless they’re chipped or cleaned with abrasives that wear through the finish. If your Kohler fixture is approaching those ages and a part has already failed, a repair is still often the right call, but a full replacement starts making financial sense. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll talk you through the math for your specific model.
Yes, many Kohler failures are repairable. Cartridges, spray heads, docking collars, mounting hardware, and soap dispensers all have serviceable parts, and we repair them regularly in Miami. What usually can’t be repaired is a sink with a cracked basin or a faucet body with corrosion pitting inside the waterway. Call (850) 801-8046 with your K-series model number and we’ll tell you upfront whether repair is realistic or if you’re buying a new fixture. Estimates are free either way.
Most Kohler faucet repairs and part replacements take 45 to 90 minutes once we’re in the kitchen. A full faucet swap runs about two hours. A sink replacement with disposal and supply reconnection is a half-day job. We schedule a live arrival time before we come, and you get photo updates before and after the work, so you’re not stuck waiting through a four-hour window. Call (850) 801-8046 to schedule.
We stock OEM Kohler cartridges, spray heads, and docking assemblies for the most common Miami-installed models, including the Simplice, Bellera, and Malleco lines. For less common parts, we order directly from Kohler with a written ETA before we ever schedule the install, so you know exactly when the part arrives and what it costs. We also stock parts compatible with KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops if your kitchen has multiple brands failing at once. Call (850) 801-8046 and tell us your K-series number; we’ll check the truck before you hang up.
