Silestone Bathroom Remodeling: The Miami Owner’s Guide
A full Silestone bathroom remodel in Miami typically runs $10,620 to $33,040 installed, depending on vanity size, shower footprint, and how much plumbing moves. We stock Silestone-compatible materials and can usually start within two weeks of your written estimate. Most owners call us after water has been sitting against a Silestone seam for months and the vanity base finally swells or the backsplash starts pulling away from the wall.
Here’s the truth about Silestone in Miami bathrooms: the material itself is tough. What fails first is almost never the Silestone. It’s what’s underneath it, behind it, or sealed against it. Humidity in Miami runs high year-round, and that moisture works its way into every seam, every caulk line, and every cabinet joint. By the time you see the problem, the damage underneath has usually been happening for a while. That’s the part we end up rebuilding, not just the surface you can see.
Which Silestone Models This Applies To

Silestone is an engineered quartz product from Cosentino. It comes in several finish lines, including the standard polished series, the Suede finish (matte, slightly textured), and the newer HybriQ+ and HybriQ+ Technology lines that use a different resin blend. For bathroom applications, the polished and Suede lines are the most common in Miami homes we work on.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha most people don’t know: Silestone slabs are not all the same thickness. Bathroom vanities and shower curbs are often cut from 2cm stock (about 3/4 inch), while kitchen counters use 3cm (about 1 1/4 inch). If your existing Silestone is 2cm and you’re replacing just one section, the new piece needs to come from the same production run or the color will be slightly off. Silestone discontinues colors regularly, so matching a vanity top from ten years ago may mean replacing both vanities rather than one. We’ll tell you that before you spend a dollar, not after the slab shows up.
When we source Silestone for a Miami bathroom, we spec from current Cosentino distribution so the warranty is valid and the color is consistent. We also carry Cambria and Caesarstone as alternatives if your Silestone color is discontinued and you’d rather replace both surfaces than live with a mismatch. Sawyer Remodel Miami is an independent contractor, not a Silestone dealer or affiliated with Cosentino, which means we tell you what the product actually does in a Miami bathroom, not what the brochure says.

Signs Your Silestone Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Dark staining along the seam where the Silestone meets the backsplash. This means water has breached the silicone and is sitting against the drywall or cabinet backer. The stain isn’t on the Silestone, it’s bleeding through from behind.
- The vanity doors don’t close square anymore. Miami humidity has swollen the cabinet box. Silestone is heavy; a vanity that’s been absorbing moisture for a year is now carrying 150 pounds of stone on a frame that’s losing its shape.
- Caulk lines around the Silestone shower curb keep splitting open. Quartz doesn’t flex, but the shower pan underneath does. When the pan moves, the rigid Silestone doesn’t, and the caulk is the first thing to tear.
- You can feel a lip where two Silestone pieces meet. That seam was never properly leveled or the adhesive has failed. Water pools there, soap scum builds up, and eventually the seam becomes a mold line.
- The Silestone itself has a dull ring or etch mark. Quartz resists most etching, but harsh acidic cleaners (toilet bowl cleaner, some grout removers) will damage the resin binder. Once that resin is compromised, the surface will stain permanently.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Bathroom remodeling with Silestone in Miami runs $10,620 to $33,040 installed. Smaller jobs, like a single Silestone vanity replacement with new faucet and hardware, land at the lower end. A primary bath with double Silestone vanities, a Silestone shower curb, and new tile work runs higher. Here’s the breakdown:
- Small bathroom remodel with Silestone vanity top: $5,900 – $14,160
- Full bathroom remodel with Silestone surfaces: $10,620 – $33,040
- Silestone vanity installation only: $945 – $3,540
- Walk-in shower with Silestone curb and threshold: $5,310 – $14,160
- Tub-to-shower conversion (Silestone threshold and seat): $4,130 – $11,800
Every price we give in Miami is a written, line-item number before any tool is picked up. That’s the Relay Standard: you approve the exact price, and the invoice matches that number. No change orders, no surprises at the end. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the workmanship for a full year after we close the job. If something isn’t right, we come back and make it right. In writing, on every project.
DIY or Call Us?
What you can safely do: shut off water to the bathroom, dry the affected area, and send us photos. A quick look at where the water is sitting tells us whether you’re dealing with a seal failure or a structural problem underneath the Silestone. Shut off the water and stop using the vanity or shower until someone looks at it.
What you should not do: try to lift or reset a Silestone piece yourself. A 2cm Silestone vanity top can weigh 100 pounds or more, and once it’s bonded, breaking the adhesive without damaging the cabinet or the stone takes the right tools and a second set of hands. We’ve pulled Silestone pieces off that were installed with construction adhesive by a previous homeowner, and the cabinet came apart with the stone. Also, do not try to cut or shape Silestone without a wet saw and proper respirator. Quartz dust is silica, and silica in your lungs is not a reversible problem. Luca Romano and our crew handle Silestone with wet-cutting tools and full PPE, every single job. That’s not a sales pitch, it’s just how the work gets done.
If you’re not sure whether the Silestone itself is the problem or the structure under it, call (850) 801-8046. We’ll look at photos and give you an honest answer, even if the answer is “you don’t need us yet.”
FAQs

Silestone itself will last 25 years or more with normal care, but the supporting structure in a Miami bathroom, meaning the vanity, the seams, and the waterproofing, typically fails in 10 to 15 years due to constant humidity. The stone outlives everything under it. Call (850) 801-8046 if your Silestone is still solid but your vanity isn’t.
Small chips and scratches can often be filled and polished by a professional, and we do that type of repair regularly. But cracked Silestone, especially around a sink cutout or a seam that’s separated, generally needs replacement because quartz won’t bond back together with structural strength. We’ll tell you which situation you have, with photos, before quoting anything. Call (850) 801-8046 and we’ll review it together.
Most Silestone bathroom remodels in Miami take 2 to 3 weeks from demo to final cleanup. Vanity-only replacements with a Silestone top are usually done in 1 to 2 days once the slab is fabricated. The fabrication lead time is usually the longest part, typically 1 to 2 weeks for current Silestone colors. We’ll give you a written timeline with your estimate so you know exactly what to expect.
We order Silestone per job from current Cosentino inventory so you’re getting a slab with a valid warranty and consistent color. We don’t warehouse slabs because Miami’s humidity and storage conditions can affect the material before it’s ever installed. The fabrication and install all happen within the timeline we quote you up front, and you’ll know the exact color and finish before we order anything.
If your Silestone bathroom needs honest eyes and a written price, call (850) 801-8046. We’ll schedule a time to look at it, send you a line-item estimate, and you decide from there. No pressure, no vague numbers.
