Meet the Miami Team Behind Sawyer Remodel Miami
The crew at Sawyer Remodel Miami runs on a simple idea that Luca Romano, our owner, has hammered into every job since 2005: do the work right, price it honestly, and keep the homeowner informed from the first cut to the final walkthrough. We’re a tight group of installers, finishers, and coordinators who take real pride in the details most people never see. The tile edge that lines up perfectly. The cabinet door that closes with that soft click. The wall that’s dead-level even though no one will ever put a level on it. That’s the stuff that matters to us, and it’s why Miami homeowners keep calling back.
Our People

Luca Romano, Owner & Lead Contractor
Luca founded Sawyer Remodel Miami in 2005 after years of watching contractors in South Florida deliver half-finished promises and surprise invoices. He built the company around a written price before any work starts, and he’s the first to tell you when a job has a problem before he tells you how he’s going to fix it. Luca is a Florida Licensed General Contractor who still walks every jobsite in Miami personally, from Kendall to Coral Gables. He’s got a dry sense of humor that surfaces when a wall is 2 inches out of square or a homeowner’s “quick weekend project” turns out to be a month of work. Off the clock, he’s rebuilding a 1960s Chris-Craft boat in his garage, which his wife says is a very expensive way to own a pile of sawdust.
Marisol D., Service Coordinator
Marisol is the voice you’ll hear when you call (850) 801-8046. She’s been with Sawyer Remodel Miami for seven years and knows every project, every schedule, and every homeowner by name. Before joining the team, she managed operations for a Miami cabinet distributor, which means she can tell you exactly which KraftMaid or Wellborn line fits your budget and which one will take eight weeks to arrive. Marisol runs The Relay Standard on every job: live arrival time tracking, photo updates sent to your phone, and a digital invoice you pay from a link. She grew up in Little Havana and claims she can find good cafecito within a five-minute drive of any jobsite in Miami-Dade County.
Tony R., Senior Installer
Tony has been setting tile, hanging cabinets, and waterproofing showers in Miami for over twenty years. He’s our lead on bathroom remodels, and he’s the guy who cuts Schluter edge trim (the metal strip that waterproofs where your tile meets the floor) with the kind of precision that makes other installers stop and stare. Tony is certified in Schluter waterproofing systems and has installed hundreds of Kohler and Toto fixtures across South Florida. What he hasn’t installed, he’s probably taken apart and put back together just to see how it works. Ask him about the time a condo in Brickell had a shower pan slope going the wrong direction, and he’ll tell you exactly what he found behind the old tile before he tells you how he fixed it. Tony’s the calm one in the room when a job gets complicated.
Ben K., Apprentice
Ben joined Sawyer Remodel Miami two years ago after finishing a construction technology program at Miami Dade College. He works under Tony and Luca on everything from demo days to final touch-ups, and he’s earning his way toward full installer status. Ben’s the one who makes sure every jobsite is clean at the end of the day and every tool is accounted for. He’s also the team’s unofficial photographer, handling the before-and-after photo updates that get sent to homeowners through The Relay Standard. Outside work, Ben is a weekend fisherman in Biscayne Bay who swears he once caught a snook bigger than his arm, though no photographic evidence exists.
Styles & brands we work with

One Standard, Every Job
What holds the Miami crew together isn’t a handbook. It’s a commitment Luca put in writing almost two decades ago and hasn’t changed since: the homeowner always knows what the work will cost before it starts, who will be walking through the door, and when they’ll arrive. Every project runs through The Relay Visibility Guarantee, which means a written price, live arrival time tracking, and photo updates from day one. Every member of the team, from Marisol answering the phone to Ben sweeping the last bit of dust, works under the same standard. We also back our work with the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If something isn’t done right, we come back and make it right. In writing, on every single job. No fine print, no arguments, no chasing us down. That’s the way it works here, and that’s the way it’ll work on your remodel too.
How Much Does a Remodel Cost in Miami?

Bathroom remodels in Miami typically run between $18,000 and $45,000 depending on the size of the space, the materials you choose, and whether we’re moving plumbing or keeping the existing layout. Whole-home renovations in Miami generally fall between $90,000 and $250,000, with kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring driving most of that range. Here’s a closer look at what you can expect:
- Guest bath refresh: $18,000 – $28,000. New tile, vanity, fixtures, and a fresh waterproofing system. Typical timeline is 3 – 5 weeks.
- Primary bath remodel: $28,000 – $45,000. Larger footprint, often includes relocating the shower, custom cabinetry, and premium fixtures from Kohler or Toto. Timeline is 5 – 8 weeks.
- Whole-home renovation: $90,000 – $250,000. Full kitchen, baths, flooring, paint, and often electrical and plumbing updates. Timeline runs 3 – 6 months depending on scope.
- Material upgrades: Cambria or Caesarstone countertops, KraftMaid or Wellborn cabinetry, and James Hardie siding all shift the price upward but carry manufacturer-backed warranties behind the install.
The price you approve before work starts is the price you pay. We write it down, you sign it, and there are no change orders unless you request a change. Call (850) 801-8046 to schedule a free estimate, and Marisol will get you on the calendar with Luca or Tony.

AfterWill the Price Change Once Work Starts?
No. Not unless you ask for something different. The written price we give you before any work begins is the number on your invoice at the end of the job. If we open a wall in your Miami home and find something unexpected, like corroded plumbing or unpermitted electrical work, we stop and show you what we found. Then we give you a written price to fix it. You approve it or you don’t. No surprise charges. No markup games. Call (850) 801-8046 if you want to talk through how upfront pricing works on a real project.
Do You Pull Permits?
Yes. We pull permits for every job in Miami that requires them, and we schedule the inspections with Miami-Dade County. It’s part of the written price and part of why the job takes the time it takes. The permit gets signed off before we consider the work done. Call (850) 801-8046 for a free estimate, and we’ll tell you exactly what needs a permit on your project and what doesn’t.
How Long Will a Miami Remodel Take?
Most bathroom remodels in Miami take 3 – 8 weeks. Whole-home renovations run 3 – 6 months depending on how much of the house we’re opening up. The timeline is in your written agreement before we start, and Marisol sends photo updates as the work moves forward. If the schedule slips, you’ll hear it from us before you have to ask. Call (850) 801-8046 to schedule a free estimate and get a real timeline for your project.
